On Saturday, March 2, Platts will perform Disaster Recovery (DR) failover procedure on ftp.platts.com, the FTP site for our Market Data service.
The failover procedure will be performed between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm US East Coast time, and the site will be unavailable during this time period.
On Saturday, March 9, Platts will switch back to the Production environment at 10:00 am US East Coast time.
To accommodate this change the site may be intermittently unavailable from approximately 10am EST to 12pm EST.
As part of the failover procedure, the IP Address for the Platts FTP site will change. If you connect using the url (ftp.platts.com), you will not be affected by this change. Platts strongly recommends that subscribers connect to the FTP site via ftp.platts.com.
If you must use the IP Address to connect to the site, you can still use the current IP Address but you might experience approximately 15 min update delay at each cut between March 2 and March 9.
To avoid delays during this week you can use the Disaster Recovery IP Address which will go into effect on March 2, 2013, please contact Platts Customer Care to obtain the Disaster Recovery IP Address.
If you have any comments or questions regarding this announcement, please contact your local Platts Customer Care representative, or email support@platts.com.
