Platts to launch daily Methyl Methacrylate NWE DDP spot assessment April 2

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will launch daily DDP Northwest Europe Methyl Methacrylate [MMA] spot price assessments, effective April 2.

The new assessments will complement the existing Platts assessments for MMA feedstock acetone in Northwest Europe and build on the existing MMA coverage in Asia.

The assessments were first proposed Jan. 31 in Europe.

The new assessments will be published on business days in line with regional publication schedules and based on the latest information sourced from the market up to the close of the Platts Market on Close assessment process.

All market information reported to Platts may be considered and will be published in real-time, including firm bids and offers, trades, and indicative values, as well as any other data deemed relevant to the assessment process. Pricing information for material with other specifications and terms may be normalized accordingly.

The assessment will reflect the product with the following specifications:

Purity: Min 99.8%

Color APHA: Max 10 Hazen

Water content: Max 0.05%

Inhibitor: 10-20 ppm

Laycan: 3-30 days forward delivery

Basis: DDP NWE

Location: Northwest Europe (Eur/mt)

Quantity: 20-25 mt

Pricing information with terms, locations, and specifications different from the above standard may be considered for assessment purposes, subject to normalization.

The new assessments will be accompanied by weekly commentaries, published on Wednesdays.
