Futures price format, date changes now set for Monday, March 26

In response to feedback from subscribers and vendor partners, the previously announced changes to futures price data will now take effect Monday, March 26, 2012. They were previously scheduled for the following day.

For details on the changes, see http://bit.ly/NymexICEdata .

In addition to the changes going forward, Platts will make corresponding adjustments to over 28 million historical values. In order to obtain adjusted price history, you must complete and submit the request form at http://plts.co/FuturesPr0312 . There will be no charge to subscribers for this data.

Adjusted history will be available for delivery starting March 26; most deliveries will be via FTP. Completed request forms should be emailed to support@platts.com. To facilitate timely delivery, please submit requests by March 19 if possible.

Important notes:

* If you receive futures data via a Platts redistributor, please check with them before submitting any request for price history. Most redistributors who offer the affected data categories will be providing adjusted history automatically.

* Due to the way historical adjustments must be handled, online history files after March 24, 2012 will not contain adjusted values for prices dated between January 1 and March 23. History for the most recent 45 days is normally available to subscribers in the date (yyyymmdd) folders on the Platts FTP server, and in the 45-day .csv-format history files on the Platts website.

If you need adjusted history for Jan 1 - Mar 23, please submit the request form and request at least the data for year-to-date 2012.

If you have any questions or comments regarding this announcement, please contact your local Platts Customer Care representative, or email support@platts.com.
