Platts clarifies pricing options available for UCO and UCOME FOB Straits on e-window

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, would like to clarify the pricing options currently available for participants on the e-window communication tool for used cooking oil FOB Straits (UCFCC00) and used cooking oil methyl ester FOB Straits (UCFCB00).

Within the e-window for UCO FOB Straits, market participants can bid, offer and trade on an outright basis. For UCOME FOB Straits, in addition to the outright price, participants can bid, offer and trade on a floating-price basis as a differential to Mean of Platts Singapore gasoil assessment.

Platts, which currently publishes flat price pegs for both UCO and UCOME FOB Straits, will also publish floating price pegs as a differential to MOPS gasoil assessment for UCOME FOB Straits starting Feb. 26.

The published values are intended to provide the market with price levels observed by Platts based on available information before the Platts Market on Close assessment process. This aids data testing and encourages further participation in the MOC.

Platts intends to publish the pegs at 16:30 pm Singapore time. The pegs will be published as heards on our real-time services, along with all other relevant market information.
