This change is intended to better capture the concentration of trading activity in the Asian fertilizer market.
Details of the changes are as follows:

- All Middle Eastern, African, and European assessments will remain at 4:30 pm London time

Full details of Platts Fertilizer coverage can be found in the Specifications Guide available here:
This change follows a proposal note published Jan. 10: https://www.spglobal.com/commodityinsights/en/our-methodology/subscriber-notes/011024-platts-proposes-to-move-moc-timestamp-for-several-asia-fertilizer-assessments .
A decision on the change was published on Jan. 25 in a subscriber note available here: https://www.spglobal.com/commodityinsights/en/our-methodology/subscriber-notes/012524-platts-to-move-moc-timestamp-for-several-asia-fertilizer-assessments .
As part of this change, Platts Asia fertilizer assessments will also follow a Penang holiday calendar, moving from a London holiday calendar at present. Further information on Platts pricing holiday schedules can be found here: https://www.spglobal.com/commodityinsights/en/our-methodology/holiday .
As of Feb. 22, bids, offers, trades and indicative values will only be considered for the assessment if received before the 4:30 pm Penang time cut-off. If the weekly publication day falls on a public holiday in Penang, as defined by the Platts pricing holiday schedule, then the Asia assessments will be published the preceding working day.
For example, the Sulphuric Acid report is published on Wednesdays. As May 1, 2024 is a Wednesday, and a public holiday in Penang, all Asia Sulphuric Acid assessments, commentary and line-ups will be produced and published on Platts Connect and the Connect Data Browser on Tuesday, April 30. They will appear in the weekly Sulphuric Acid report published on Wednesday May 1, alongside EMEA and Americas content generated on Wednesday.
