Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has launched the carbon black FOB India weekly spot assessment, effective Feb. 21, 2025.
Platts confirmed the launch of this assessment in a subscriber note published on Jan. 20, available here.

All market information reported to Platts may be considered and will be published in real time, including firm bids and offers, trades and indicative values, as well as any other data deemed relevant to the assessment process.
Pricing information for material with other specifications and terms may be normalized to the standard.
The assessment will reflect spot prices at 4:30 pm Singapore time every Friday and will follow the India publication schedule.
The FOB India carbon black assessment will expand Platts' carbon black coverage, supporting the existing US Gulf Coast and Northwest Europe coverage.
A weekly commentary will be published on Fridays and will appear in Olefinscan and on Platts Connect.
