Platts plans to launch South Asia VAM assessments

Platts invites feedback on plans to launch from June 2, 2011, weekly vinyl acetate monomer assessments basis CFR South Asia.

Timing: Cargoes delivered up to 30 days forward from date of publication Basis and port locations: CFR South Asia: India (Kandla, Mumbai) Cargo size: 1,000-2,000mt Terms and conditions: Credit usance of 90 days Quality specifications: Minimum purity of 99%

For deals with non-standard usance, the value of the extra or reduced credit allowance will be factored into price assessments, based on prevailing interest rates calculated using the three-month London Interbank Offered Rate or LIBOR plus 1.5%.
