SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts proposes to discontinue European PTA commentary in Polymerscan

S&P Global Platts is proposing to discontinue its weekly Europe purified terephthalic acid commentary in Polymerscan from April 4, 2018, due to a lack of liquidity in the European market.

Relevant PTA market information for the region, where available, would be included in the PX section of Polymerscan instead.

The proposed changes would not affect publication of the PTA FD NWE monthly contract price, which will continue to be published in Polymerscan, on Petrochemical Alert page 509 and in Platts market data category IM under the symbol AACVW00.

Platts invites feedback on this proposal by March 2, 2018.
