Platts updates Corn Matrix publication times

S&P Global Platts has begun publishing its updated daily global corn arbitrage price matrix on the Platts Agricultural Alert, effective Feb. 16, 2021.

The price matrix, originally launched Sept. 3, 2020, is published in the Daily Grains report and reflects the competitiveness of each major export origin delivered into Asia, the world's largest corn import region.

The price matrix reflects the replacement values and profit margin calculations associated with the import of feed corn from the US Gulf Coast, the US Pacific North West, Brazil, Argentina and Ukraine at destination in Northeast Asia.

The original corn arbitrage price matrix reflects the most recent global assessments available at 4:30 pm Singapore time daily, in line with the Platts Market on Close assessment process timestamp of the existing Platts corn CFR North East Asia assessment.

Platts has begun publishing the corn arbitrage price matrix using price assessment at EMEA market on close and Sao Paulo market on close.

These two additional publication times result in the most recent global assessments available being published in the corn matrix.

The Platts Corn Arbitrage Matrix at Singapore MOC is published on Platts Agriculture Page 2622, the Platts Corn Arbitrage Matrix at London MOC is published on PAA page 1622 and the Platts Corn Arbitrage Matrix at Houston and Sao Paulo MOC is published on PAA 0622.

The corn arbitrage published in the Platts Daily Grains report has been updated from the Singapore MOC to the Americas MOC to better reflect the time the global report is published.
