SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to publish global petchems freight midpoints, fixed ranges

Following industry consultation, S&P Global Platts has decided to publish from March 16, 2018, mid-point values for all global gas and easy chemical freight assessments. The values will reflect Platts assessments at the market close on Friday each week.

Platts will also standardize all gas chemical freight high-low ranges to +/- $5/mt around the assessed mid-points.

Liquid easy chemical freight rates will continue to be published in a $2/mt range.

The changes will affect the following symbols and their monthly averages:
