Please note that S&P Global Platts will correct the labeling of its Sakhalin Blend versus Dubai differential in the Platts price database and on Platts Global Alert page 2214, as well as the labeling of its ESPO versus Dubai differential on Platts Global Alert page 2214. There is no change to the underlying methodology or prices published.
The Sakhalin Blend differential (AARCN00) is currently labeled: Sakhalin Blend vs Dubai M3 in the Platts price database and on Platts Global Alert page 2214, and this label will be changed to: Sakhalin Blend vs Dubai.
The differential reflects the value of Sakhalin Blend crude on a CFR Japan/South Korea basis versus the Platts Dubai crude assessment for loading in the same calendar month. The front-month assessment for Platts Dubai crude reflects cargoes loading two calendar months forward from the date of publication, in line with other Persian Gulf crude assessments. It is correctly labeled as the Sakhalin Blend differential to Dubai in the Crude Oil Marketwire, Asia-Pacific/Arab Gulf Marketscan and Oilgram Price Report.
In addition, Platts will correct the labeling of the M1 and M2 ESPO versus Dubai differentials on Platts Global Alert page 2214.
The differentials are currently labeled: ESPO M1 vs Dubai M2 (AASEU00) and ESPO M2 vs Dubai M3 (AAWFG00), and these will be changed to: ESPO M1 vs Dubai M1 and ESPO M2 vs Dubai M2, respectively. There is no change to the underlying methodology or data published.
The ESPO differentials are correctly labeled in the Platts price database, and in the Crude Oil Marketwire and Asia-Pacific/Arab Gulf Marketscan.
