Platts reflects three individual NWE SM CPs

From October 7, 2011, following industry feedback and internal reviews, Platts has been reflecting three individual contract price settlements for Northwest European styrene.

These three individual contract settlements are FD NWE, FOB Rotterdam and FOB Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp.

However, for the past three months the industry has been agreeing on a single contract price mechanism on an FOB Rotterdam basis. The remaining two contract prices have been published as NA-NA.

Platts will maintain the three price references. However, Platts will continue to monitor prevailing industry practices in contract settlements and will review the number of references published going forward.
