Platts page 244, 190 changes to be made on March 6

Platts confirms that it will suspend Platts Global Alert page 244, with effect from March 6, 2012.

PGA page 244 is a continuation page for PGA page 190.

Page 190 is widely used by readers to review bids, offers and trades published during the Platts Market on Close assessment process for Asia refined products.

At the same time, Platts will enhance page 190, adding more lines to allow for a fuller display of bids, offers, trades and trade summaries. For greater clarity, page 190 will display each event as it is published, but will no longer append previous events to the body text. This will allow the reader to more clearly associate each published event with its relevant headline, and simplify viewing the text published on page 190.

This confirmation follows our initial January 12 notice proposing these changes. The implementation date is later than the originally proposed February 24.
