Platts is proposing a change to include next-day North American natural gas trades done by 1 pm Central Prevailing Time in the Gas Daily Price Survey beginning April 1, 2016. The proposed move from an 11:30 am to 1 pm deadline results from North American Energy Standards Board revisions and the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's Order 809 (Docket No. RM14-2) regarding natural gas scheduling. Following preliminary market discussions, Platts does not plan to change the deadline for the submission of price reports from 3 pm Central Prevailing Time. Platts encourages comments from price data providers on whether an adjustment to that deadline is necessary and will continue to take into account suggestions on that deadline following the implementation of the new rule.
