SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts launches coking coal swap assessment for Yr02

S&P Global Platts launched a coking coal swaps assessment for two years ahead (Yr02) on February 1, 2019, in order to comprehensively reflect the liquidity and open interest.

This launch came on the back of a market consultation since November 7, 2018.

The new contract has the following specifications:

TSI Premium Hard Coking Coal FOB Australia swap $/Mt Yr02 and carries the code "MCPLY02."

The assessment is on a daily basis with a 5:30 pm Singapore time stamp. In line with the current swap assessments, the Yr02 coking coal swap assessment is also based on TSI Premium Hard Coking Coal Australia Export FOB East Coast Port (TS01034).
