Platts to discontinue publishing Magdalena crude assessment

S&P Global Platts will discontinue publishing assessments for Colombia's Magdalena crude, effective July 1, 2021, due to a lack of spot market trading activity.

Platts understands that there is no spot market trade of Magdalena with all production sold through contracts and consumed domestically in Colombia.

Magdalena has not been exported since 2017, according to sources.

The proposed discontinuation will affect the following codes:

Magdalena AAWFR00 AAXBL00 AAXCA00 AAWFS00

Magdalena (mavg) AAWFR03 AAXBL03 AAXCA03 AAWFS03
