SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Prioritizing data around expected China ADDs for Platts Asia styrene monomer assessments

Platts reflects products from all appropriate origins in its assessment processes. If a seller chooses to execute their option to deliver from an origin that imposes or implies extra costs on its receiver, including anti-dumping duties, those extra costs are to be borne by the seller. China has announced its intention to impose anti-dumping duties on the imports of styrene monomer cargoes originating from South Korea, Taiwan and the US. The conclusion of the ongoing ADD investigation is expected to be announced by the Chinese Bureau of Commerce soon and imposed by end-June 2018. Until then Platts will prioritize bids and offers for Styrene Monomer clearly stating the seller's intention to bear any proven duty implications that may be imposed. Platts will continue to monitor this developing situation.
