Platts to launch Chinese technical-grade monoammonium phosphate (TMAP) 12-61 price assessments Feb 20

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, is to launch technical-grade monoammonium phosphate (TMAP) 12-61 price assessments, effective Feb. 20.

Platts will launch three weekly single-number TMAP spot assessments for the ex-works and FOB markets for TMAP 12-61 in China. The assessments are designed to reflect activity in both China's domestic and export markets, given the significance of TMAP's use as a precursor for new energy storage systems and as a high-efficiency fertilizer. This decision follows a proposal note published Jan. 23.

The specifications for the proposed assessments are as follows:

At the time of publication, February 2025, the above specifications primarily reflect exports to Latin America.
