Platts proposes to launch Chinese technical-grade monoammonium phosphate (TMAP) 12-61 price assessments Feb 20

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, is proposing to launch technical-grade monoammonium phosphate (TMAP) 12-61 price assessments, effective Feb. 20.

The proposed assessments are intended to capture the trading activity in China's domestic and export markets, given the significance of its use as a precursor for new energy storage systems and as a high-efficiency fertilizer, both locally and globally.

Platts is proposing the launch of two weekly single-number spot assessments for the ex-works and FOB markets for TMAP 12-61 in China.

The specifications for the proposed assessments are as follows:

The above specifications are currently primarily applicable for export to Latin America. Information on other aspects of the TMAP 12-61 market, including, but not limited to, purity levels, quantity, timing and location, will continue to be considered and normalized, where necessary, to align with the standard specifications listed above.

Platts is seeking feedback on all elements of this proposal, including specifications and TMAP 12-61 purity levels.

The proposed assessments will be available via Platts Connect on Thursdays, with a 16:30 Penang time stamp.

Please submit any feedback, comments or questions on the proposal to fertilizer@spglobal.com and pricegroup@spglobal.com by Feb. 5.
