Platts has been using 3-character Market Data category codes for FTP/CSV since 2013, and now proposes to introduce 4-character codes for discontinued Market Data categories.
The following symbol files will be affected by the creation of the new codes: 1. ThisWeek_sym.csv on Platts FTP site. 2. Discontinued symbol files found on Platts.com -Symbol Directories: http://www.platts.com/symbol-page-directories/symbol-directories Please test if the 4-character categories will affect your system or program by going to the following links for the corresponding test files: 1. http://plts.co/ThisWeek-sym 2. http://plts.co/test-4char These files contain test-only categories and symbols and should not be processed in lieu of current production files.
Please send feedback or questions by March 10, 2014 to support@platts.com and copy pl_DataQA@platts.com.
