S&P Global Platts has commenced the publication of Indonesia Crude Price (ICP) for Pandan crude oil and discontinued the publication for Meslu crude oil with effect from February 2022.
Indonesia's Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources issues the ICP for various crude grades produced in the country on a monthly retroactive basis.
Platts first announced the planned amendments in a subscriber note published Jan. 11: http://plts.co/ZiCj30s7vgt
The Meslu ICP, which is currently published under the code AINAC00, has been discontinued, while the Pandan ICP will be published under the code PCOSP00 on Platts Global Alert page 1056 alongside the ICPs of other crude grades from Indonesia.
The ICP for Pandan crude is currently fixed at a discount of $1.63/b to the Belida crude ICP, according to a ministry notification.
The ministry no longer publishes the ICP for Meslu crude, which was a likely result of low production levels, Platts reported on June 9, 2021. The ICP for Meslu crude was last published in March 2021.
