Platts Quality Premium for April-loading Murban set at $0.8387/b for Feb 1

The Quality Premium for April-loading Murban crude oil is $0.8387/b and will be effective for trade in April-loading cargoes during the Platts Market on Close assessment process on Feb. 1.

S&P Global Commodity Insights announced earlier that starting Feb. 1, Platts will publish a daily Murban QP at 50% of the net price differences between Platts Murban (M+2) and Platts Oman (M+2) assessments over 15 business days prior to the day of publication.

The Murban QP applicable for payment from a buyer to the seller will be the QP published on the day of the convergence.

Platts, part of S&P Global, will announce a QP of zero if 50% of the observed price difference between Platts Murban and Platts Oman over the 15 publication days is less than 50 cents/b.

The Murban QP can be found on Platts Global Alert pages 2210 and 2220, in the Crude Oil Marketwire, and under code AASVA00 in the Platts database.
