SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts proposes changes to NWE biodiesel assessment laycan

Platts is seeking feedback on a proposal to change the assessment laycan for Northwest European biodiesel to reflect barges loading between three and 15 days (on Mondays and Tuesday) or five and 15 days (from Wednesdays to Fridays) from the day of publication, rather than the current 10-25 days forward. This change is proposed to take effect on May 1, 2014. In addition, Platts proposes to reflect in its MOC window for NWE biodiesel assessments only bids and offers that specify any one of the three five-day loading periods available within the full loading range. The front five days of the loading period (front-end), the middle five days of the loading period (mid-window) or the back five days of the loading period (back-end) will each be reflected in the assessment. This change would also take effect on May 1, 2014. This change would affect the following assessments, as well as any new NWE biodiesel assessments introduced in the future: AAWGY00 - Biodiesel FAME -10 FOB Rdam Barge AAXQL00 - Biodiesel FAME 0 FOB Rdam Barge AAUCB00 - Biodiesel SME FOB ARA Barge AAUCA00 - Biodiesel RME FOB ARA Barge AAWGH00 - Biodiesel FAME -10 (RED) FOB ARA Barge AAWGI00 - Biodiesel FAME 0 (RED) FOB ARA Barge AAWGJ00 - Biodiesel SME (RED) FOB ARA Barge AAWGK00 - Biodiesel RME (RED) FOB ARA Barge Please send comments and feedback by April 1, 2014, to europe_ags@platts.com and pricegroup@platts.com.
