SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts proposes to launch Chinese assessment for polyesters

S&P Global Platts proposes to launch weekly domestic China assessments for polyester Yarn and Fiber grades, Partially Oriented Yarn (POY), Draw Textured Yarn (DTY), Fully Drawn Yarn (FDY) and Polyester Staple Fiber (PSF), following market feedback and rapid growth in China domestic trade activity, effective April 3, 2019.

The new assessments will reflect the delivery of 10-100mt on an ex-tank east China (Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Fujian) basis, 0-10 days forward from the date of publication on an at-site cash payment basis, and will be based on the following quality specification:

POY150D/48F, white and semi-dull. DTY150D/48F, white and semi-dull. FDY150D/96F, white and semi-dull. PSF 1.4D*38mm, white, semi-dull, and direct-spun.

The proposed weekly assessments take into consideration the latest information sourced from the market up to the close of the assessment window at 4:30pm Singapore time (0830 GMT) on Wednesday.
