Subscriber note: Platts to end Med-Japan 30kt assessment

Platts proposes to discontinue its Mediterranean to Japan 30kt clean tanker freight assessments. These assessments were originally used to represent a naphtha flow, however with developments in Japanese naphtha imports this route is typically seen with larger vessels. These rates are published in the Clean Tankerwire and on Platts Global Alert page 558. Platts proposes to discontinue this assessment on August 1, 2012.
