Platts to launch new White River Hub monthly natural gas index

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has decided to add a new White River Hub (IGBGL03) monthly natural gas index.

Platts currently publishes a daily index for White River Hub and will keep the methodology unchanged for the monthly market.

The methodology for White River Hub will be as follows: White River Hub (daily and monthly market) deliveries to or from pools or interconnects that make up the White River Hub in Rio Blanco County, Colorado.

The proposed index will become effective for trade date Feb. 23, the first trading day of March bidweek.

The ICE White River Hub location will be included in the Platts White River Hub monthly index. Due to this inclusion, Platts will cease republishing ICE White River Hub symbols effective trade date Feb. 23.
