Platts clarifies conversion factor for Asia Ni-Co Black Mass nickel calculation

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, is clarifying the nickel conversion factor used in calculating its daily Ni-Co Black Mass price published in Asia.

Platts publishes calculated theoretical Ni-Co black mass prices combining Platts daily spot market assessments of Ni-Co key component payables with the underlying Platts or LME pricing basis for nickel, cobalt and lithium.

The calculation for nickel sulfate to nickel metal uses 0.225 where applicable.
