S&P Global Platts confirms that it will cease publishing fixed pages to carry its time-adjusted oil derivatives assessments for Asia, Europe and US markets on its Platts Forward Curve real-time product.
Platts will continue to provide data associated with these pages to customers through associated market data categories.
These pages will be discontinued with effect from April 3, 2018, later than the February 15 date originally proposed. Platts first proposed to end these pages in a subscriber note published on November 13, 2017:
https://www.platts.com/subscriber-notes-details/21529654 This discontinuation of the fixed pages reflects feedback from customers that the principal way that this information is used is as data embedded into data workflow products, like Excel, as opposed to fixed-text formats.
As a result of this change, the following page series will no longer be published: the PGR 3300 series (Americas derivatives republished and adjusted for the Asian and European close); the PGR 3400 series (European derivatives republished and adjusted for the US and European close) and the PGR 3800 series (Asia derivatives republished and adjusted for the US and European close).
