Platts to remove restricted origin pricing bases functionality from eWindow for NWE ULSD Cargo MOC, effective Jan 31

Ahead of the announced discontinuation of CIF Northwest Europe ULSD (restricted origin) assessments, effective March 1, 2023, Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will remove the following NWE ULSD Cargo pricing basis functionality on its eWindow communication tool, effective Jan. 31:

RestOrigin ULSDCIFNWE Crg

RestOrigin ULSDCIFHavreCrg

RestOrigin CIF UK Crg

These functionalities were added on April 19, 2022, and allowed participants in the Platts Market on Close assessment process to select these pricing bases when submitting bids and offers for CIF NWE ULSD (restricted origin) cargoes for publication directly through the eWindow communication tool, or do so through an editor who would then publish the bids and offers using the software.

The discontinuation of restricted-origin European ULSD assessments was first proposed on Nov. 24, 2022: https://www.spglobal.com/commodityinsights/en/our-methodology/subscriber-notes/112422-platts-proposes-to-discontinue-restricted-origin-european-ulsd-assessments-on-march-1-2023 and confirmed on Jan. 17, 2023: https://www.spglobal.com/commodityinsights/en/our-methodology/subscriber-notes/011723-platts-to-discontinue-restricted-origin-european-ulsd-assessments-on-march-1.
