20 Jan 2014 | 05:09 UTC — London
Effective January 28, Platts will be moving its intraday UK NBP gas assessments to an 11:00 am London time. The change in timestamp applies to the within-day and day-ahead intraday assessments currently published at 0930 GMT and reflects market coupling arrangements in the North West European power markets. The affected codes are GNWDV00 and GNDAV00, published on European Power Alert page 670 and in Platts Market Data in dispatch category EG. At the same time, Platts proposes to discontinue its 12:00 pm London midday assessment of UK NBP day-ahead gas (Day-Ahead Midday) and to replace it with the intraday assessment for day-ahead, aligning it with the 11:00 am London timestamp described above, effective May 1. The affected codes are GNCMV00, published on European Power Alert page 611 and in Platts Market Data in dispatch category EG. Please send comments and feedback to power@platts.com with copy to pricegroup@platts.com. Platts seeks feedback on the proposal to discontinue its assessment of Day-Ahead Midday by February 20.
