Platts clarifies publication schedule for Middle East polymer netbacks

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, would like to clarify the publication schedule of its Middle East polymer netbacks.

Platts calculates these polymer netbacks off the respective CFR China HDPE Film, CFR China LDPE Film, CFR China LLDPE, CFR China PP Inj and CFR China PP Raffia polymer assessments, by subtracting Middle East/China freight costs, databased weekly under the symbol AAPSM00.

Platts does not publish the netbacks values when freight rate assessments are suspended at year-end.

For example, the publication of the Middle East polymer netback was suspended during Dec. 25, 2024 and Jan. 7, 2025, following the suspension of the weekly freight assessments.
