S&P Global Platts has changed its northwest European monoethylene glycol (MEG) and diethylene glycol (DEG) spot assessment specifications, effective Jan. 14, 2022, to better reflect standard market practices.
Platts has narrowed the location for its FCA and CIF MEG and FCA DEG spot assessments from NWE to Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Antwerp (ARA), basis Antwerp.
In addition, Platts has changed the minimum volume for its domestic FCA and FD assessments to 25 mt and introduced a maximum volume of 100 mt.
Platts initially proposed these changes on Nov. 12, with a decision on Dec. 6, 2021, in the below subscriber notes available here: http://plts.co/u21I30s36Pm; http://plts.co/xoGg30s6p9m
The location and cargo size changes affect the following assessments:
MEG: FCA NWE: AAUWW00, AAUWW10, AAUWW13, AAUWW03
DEG: FCA NWE: AAXCX00, AAXCX03
