SUB NOTE: Platts clarifies met coke 65%/63% CSR, 62%/60% CSR assessments' specifications

Platts clarifies the specifications of its metallurgical coke 65%/63% CSR and 62%/60% CSR assessments, which launched on January 2, 2019.

Metallurgical coke with a 65%/63% CSR refers to a minimum 65% CSR guaranteed, with rejection for CSR below 63%.

Metallurgical coke with a 62%/60% CSR refers to a minimum 62% CSR guaranteed, with rejection for CSR below 60%.

The above assessments hence reflect metallurgical coke with a 65%/63% CSR (65% CSR guaranteed, below 63% CSR rejection) and 62%/60% CSR (62% CSR guaranteed, below 60% CSR rejection) content, 12.5% ash, 0.65% sulfur, 82% minimum Micum 40, 8% maximum Micum 10, 30-80 mm size, 25%-26% CRI, 5% TM. All origins of metallurgical coke will be taken into consideration, and will be normalized back to Platts base standards.
