Platts proposes to discontinue its ratable supplemental assessments for CBOB and RBOB gasoline in New York Harbor. Platts would continue to publish its primary ratable assessments for US Atlantic Coast RBOB and CBOB as normal under this proposal.
Platts typically publishes supplemental USAC assessments for all gasoline grades for brief periods of time in the spring and in the fall as the markets transition to and from winter to summer grades. The supplemental USAC assessments, when published, always reflect a higher RVP for the gasoline grade in question than the corresponding main assessments.
Market feedback suggests these supplemental assessments may not always reflect helpful market data. As a result, Platts is proposing to end the following assessments, with effect from August 1, 2016:
ASSESSMENT DAILY CODE MONTHLY CODE
RBOB ratables supplemental AAVZB00 AAVZB03 CBOB ratables supplemental AAVZA00 AAVZA03
