Platts has updated the description of its US Gulf Coast alkylate, raffinate and reformate assessments in the US blendstocks markets with effect from January 12, 2015.
Following a further review of the nomenclature for these assessments, Platts renamed these assessments as "FOB USGC barge," different from the current label "FOB USGC pipeline," and different from the initial proposal in December 2014 of "FOB USGC waterborne."
This affects three assessments: AAXBA00 (alkylate), AAXBB00 (raffinate) and AAXBC00 (reformate), plus assessments for differentials for those products. Differentials are published under the product codes AAFIE00, AAJMU00, AAJMV00, AAXBD00, AAXBE00 and AAXBF00.
Information about the assessments appears in US Marketscan, on PGA 760 and PGA 338, in code descriptions, and in the Americas Oil Products Methodology and Specifications Guide.
