SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to increase frequency of US MW wire rod assessment

Following a period of industry feedback, Platts will increase the frequency on its monthly US Midwestern steel wire rod price assessment, effective February 6, 2015. This is an extension from the previously announced launch date of January 9. Currently, the wire rod mesh quality N American domestic produced ex-mill US MW monthly price assessment, symbol SB01249, is published on the first business day of each month. Platts intends to increase the frequency of this assessment to weekly on Fridays, to capture changes in the market throughout the month. This price assessment is only published on the SBB website and price analyzer. All other specifications will remain the same.
