Platts is considering the Titan Ruchira and SouthernPec 3 as additional delivery points in the FOB Singapore fuel oil assessment process.
Titan Ruchira is operated by Titan Storage Limited, while SouthernPec 3 is operated by Southernpec (Singapore) Shipping Pte Ltd and are classed as floating storage units, or FSUs.
Both vessels are anchored at Tanjung Pelepas in the Johor province of southern Malaysia. Platts' fuel oil methodology already includes deliveries made from landed storage at Pasir Gudang, and floating storage vessels used in the past.
The standards that will apply to the new vessels are the same ones that were applied to the vessels used earlier.
