SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts proposes to publish Tuesday methanol spot prices in Solventswire

S&P Global Platts is proposing to reflect Tuesday methanol spot prices, commentaries and rationales for Asia, Europe and the US in its weekly Solventswire publication, effective March 5, 2019, in a bid to bring the most up-to-date information to subscribers.

At the moment Platts' Solventswire carries the previous Friday's commentaries and rationales and a weekly average of Monday-Friday daily spot assessments from the preceding week.

The proposed change would affect publication of assessments on Platts Petrochemical Alert page PCA 242, in Solventswire and on Platts Market Center in the Solventswire section, with daily spot symbols replacing the corresponding weekly averages:

Platts would continue databasing weekly averages under the existing symbols in Platts Market Data. There would also be no changes to pages PCA 348, PCA 346, PCA 233/605, PCA 234/448, where weekly averages of daily spot methanol prices would continue to be published.
