Platts to update Mexico natural gas transportation rates

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will perform its quarterly update to the natural gas transportation rates used in the calculation of the Mexico daily natural gas prices.

Platts is updating the rates for the recently launched new transportation rates methodology found here.

As part of this process, Platts will use the current rates in pipeline tariffs for the transportation routes, the February 2024 bidweek price for the Tennessee, zone 0, Waha, and SoCal Gas source locations, and the Jan. 31, 2024, Mexican Peso to US Dollar spot exchange rate.

This update will also include the latest SISTRANGAS rates as of Dec. 14, 2023, under authorization RES/1811/2023 for the period Jan. 1-Dec. 31, 2024.

The changes will be effective Feb. 1.
