SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts launches PRB 8,800 coal price conversion

Effective December 26, 2017, S&P Global Platts began publishing a new US PRB 8,800 coal price in the Competitive Fuels table that runs daily in Gas Daily Market Fundamentals.

The new price replaces the daily CAPP Barge 12,000 OTC coal price conversion (symbol code GDCBS00), which was discontinued on December 22, 2017.

The new price is based on the daily PRB 8,800 OTC coal price that publishes daily in Coal Trader, and then converted into $/MMBtu. The new symbol is CTPRA00 and began publishing from December 26, 2017.
