SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts launches 6022 scrap assessment, revises 6063 scrap

Effective January 7, Platts has launched new weekly price assessments for 6022 new bare scrap, and redefined and expanded its 6063 scrap assessments.

Platts has added new 6022 sheet scrap price assessments including a weekly discount to the Platts Aluminum Transaction price on the day of assessment and also published calculated daily outright values.

Platts has also renamed and amended the specification for its 6063 press scrap assessment, and added a daily calculated outright value based on the weekly assessed discount to Transaction. The new name is 6063 new bare extrusion scrap discount and 6063 new bare extrusion scrap.
