Platts updates Mexico natural gas transportation rates

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has made its quarterly update to the natural gas transportation rates used in the calculation of the Mexico daily natural gas prices.

Platts used the current rates in pipeline tariffs for the transportation routes, the January 2025 bidweek price for the Tennessee, Zone 0, Waha and SoCal Gas source locations, as well as the Jan. 3, 2025, Mexican peso to US dollar spot exchange rate. This update also includes the latest SISTRANGAS rates as of Dec. 13, 2024, under authorization RES/2568/2024 for the period Jan. 1-Dec. 31, 2025. The changes are effective Jan. 6.
