Platts to discontinue EC Carbon Spot Auction price

S&P Global Platts has decided to discontinue the European Commission Carbon Spot Auction price, effective March 9, 2022.

The quarterly EC spot auction price was previously used as an input in hydrogen cost of production assessments up to Aug. 2, 2021. It was subsequently replaced with Platts daily carbon pricing data.

The EC spot auction data will be discontinued from the European Exchange Market Data Category.

The following symbol will be discontinued: EC Carbon Auction Spot Qtly PCECB00
