SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts proposes clarification to CS Brazil ethanol assessments

S&P Global Platts proposes an update to the Brazilian Hydrous and Anhydrous ethanol assessments basis ex-mill Ribeirao Preto methodology. Effective April 1, 2019, Platts proposes to update the assessment volumes and standard payment conditions.

Platts proposes to increase the minimum volume for both Hydrous and Anhydrous ethanol assessments basis ex-mill Ribeirao Preto to 500 cu m, from 135 cu m and add a maximum of 1,500 cu m to better reflect the spot market. Other volumes may be considered but would be normalized back to the reference range.

Platts also proposes to clarify the typical payment conditions reflected in the assessments to payment within 10 days after the transfer of physical product.

Platts welcomes all feedback and questions on the proposed methodology change through to January 18, 2019. Please send all questions and feedback to americas_ags@spglobal.com with CC to pricemethodology@spglobal.com
