SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts discontinues publishing Ras Gas assessment from Jan 4

As previously announced, Platts will discontinue publishing the price of Qatari condensate under the name 'Ras Gas' from Monday, January 4, 2016, after it began publishing the assessment under a new name 'DFC' or Deodorized Field Condensate from May 4, 2015.

The DFC assessment is identical to, and was being published alongside, the 'Ras Gas' condensate assessment. The DFC assessment and associated code would carry the historical data for the Ras Gas assessment.

The change in name does not alter any other aspects of Platts assessment of Qatari condensate.

The change ensures Platts assessments and terminology conform with the latest market conventions. Platts understands that Qatar International Petroleum Marketing Co., or Tasweeq no longer sells any condensate with the trade name 'Ras Gas'.

The official trade name of the field condensate associated with LNG production from Ras Gas and other entities is DFC.

The DFC assessment is published in Platts Global Alert on pages 2212, 2213, 2232, and 2233; and in Platts Oilgram Price Report, Platts Crude Oil Marketwire, and Platts Asia Pacific/Arab Gulf Marketscan.

The assessment is found under the following codes ADFCD00, ADFCA00, ADFCC00, ADFCB00 and ADFCD03, ADFCA03, ADFCC03, and ADFCB03 for the monthly averages.
