Following market feedback, S&P Global Platts will launch an assessment of Recycled-HDPE light pellets in Northwest Europe, from January 8, 2020.
This assessment was first proposed in a subscriber note published November 25 and available here: https://www.spglobal.com/platts/en/our-methodology/subscriber-notes/112519-platts-proposes-to-launch-r-hdpe-assessment.
Platts has also decided to assess the market on a daily basis.
The daily assessment will take into consideration price information gathered up to the close of the assessment process at 4:30 pm London time.
The new assessment will have the following specification:
Grade: Extrusion/blow molding, non-food-grade for consumer packaging applications
Color: Light pellet, including light grey or beige. Platts assessments will not reflect natural, opaque, white, black and pre-colored pellets
Basis: Free delivered Northwest Europe
Standard spot cargo size: Minimum 20mt lots
Symbol: ARHDP00 (daily), ARHDP04 (Weekly), ARHDP03 (Monthly average)
The new assessment will be found on Platts Petrochemical Alert on pages PC0571, PC0573, in Platts price database, on Platts Market Center and in Polymerscan under the symbols listed above.
