Effective January 3, 2011, Platts has lowered the metals content for its US Gulf Coast 3% sulfur fuel oil physical assessment basis to 100 ppm maximum aluminum and silicon content.
Previously, USGC 3% sulfur fuel oil assessments reflected product with 130 ppm maximum aluminum and silicon content.
