Platts updates 2025 European gasoline, naphtha netback, net-forward assessment formulas

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has updated the formulas to derive its netback and net-forward assessments to reflect updated Worldscale freight rates for 2025.

The changes are effective Jan. 2 across the following Platts price assessments for the Europe and Africa regions:

Gasoline:

Assessment name, 2025 netback/net-forward formula

Premium gasoline 10 ppm Cargoes CIF Med (AAWZB00), $7.82/mt

West Africa Gasoline CIF West Africa (AGNWC00), $18.91/mt

Naphtha:

Assessment name, 2025 netback/net-forward formula

Naphtha Cargoes FOB Med (PAAAI00), 2025 WS rate for Alexandria-Rotterdam, net of Rotterdam port fees.

Naphtha Cargoes CIF Med (PAAAH00), 2025 WS rate for Alexandria-Lavera.
