Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has launched FCA Polish ports and CIF Poland Seagoing propane assessments, effective Jan. 2, 2025, amid market feedback seeking greater transparency for the value of propane delivered into Poland.
This launch was first announced in a subscriber note published Dec. 19, found here.
The Platts Propane FCA Poland assessment reflects the value of pressurized material loading 2-15 days from the date of publication, with values normalized to the mean of the loading period.
The assessment reflects railcars and trucks ex-refinery/storage with parcels of between 20-1,000 mt, with a minimum content of 95% C3s and a maximum of 10% olefins including both field and refinery grades. The assessment is FCA basis Gdansk, Gdynia or Szczecin.
The Platts Propane CIF Poland Seagoing assessment reflects the value of pressurized vessels for delivery 5-15 days from the date of publication, with values normalized to reflect the mean of the delivery period.
The assessment reflects coasters with full or part-cargoes of between 1,000-5,000 mt meeting with a minimum content of 93% C3s and a maximum of 10% olefins, including both field and refinery grades of non-Russian origin. The assessment is CIF basis Polish ports. In the absence of liquidity, the market may be assessed as a differential to the Platts Propane FCA Poland price.
Platts publishes the new propane assessments on an outright basis in $/mt, time-stamped at 1630 London time. In the absence of any bids, offers or trades in the Platts Market on Close assessment process, information heard in over-the-counter markets may be taken into consideration.
The assessments can be found in LPGaswire and on Platts Global Alert and Platts Refined Products Alert fixed pages 1775 and 1777.
Details of the new assessments are as follows:
| Assessment | Symbol | Monthly average |
| Propane CIF Poland Coasters | ABLKD00 | ABLKD03 |
| Propane FCA Poland | ABLKE00 | ABLKE03 |
