SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts discontinues quarterly ore lump contract price

Platts has discontinued publication of the quarterly Australia Lump Premium Contract Price (IOPLC00), with the last date of publication on December 31, 2014. The move was announced on September 16, 2014.

The discontinuation reflects the shift in lump term contracts between Chinese mills and Australian producers to being priced-based on the average of the Platts Spot Lump Premium (IOCLP00), rather than being negotiated on a quarterly basis.
